Who Can Participate in World Math Day Competition?

This competition is open to all schools worldwide and their students aged 4-18, a teacher from your school just needs to register.

Schools already subscribed to Mathletics are automatically registered to participate in World Maths Day and do not need to complete a registration form. Their students can simply log into Mathletics or World Maths Day with their existing accounts and join in by playing Live Mathletics during the competition period.

 How Student Can Participate?

By earning points in Live Mathletics! During the official competition, students will have their first 20 games of Live Mathletics recorded by our World Maths Day Hall of Fame.  Each game last for 60 seconds and every correct answer is worth 1 point towards a student’s score. The Live Mathletics levels that a student must play depend on a student’s registered year group and will be highlighted during Warm Up and the official competition in the Live Mathletics Console. Student scores are also combined to determine a school score for the School Year Group Hall of Fame. Warm Up starts on 21 February so there is plenty of time for students to practice ahead of the real thing!

Awards For World Maths Day

A number of awards are offered to the students who take part and for those who do well in the event. Additionally, the Champions and the Top Ten students in the world are awarded Gold medals every year.

There are also a number of National lead-up events in different regions around the world which are also based on the Mathletics format.The winners may become the Ambassadors of their Country for the World Education Games the following year and help to promote the event.
